Our Musical Journey
The story of the Hocking County Children's Chorus began in 1979 with a simple dream: to bring music to the hearts of local youth. What started as a small origin story has blossomed into a cherished community institution. Over the decades, our choirs have grown in both number and spirit, now proudly serving students in grades 1 through 12. A United Way agency, HCCC continues to offer a nurturing space where young voices find their strength, performing a wide range of repertoire that celebrates the joy of shared song and artistic excellence.
Mission & Impact
The Hocking County Children’s Chorus is a nonprofit dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where children can experience the joy of music. Our goal is to build confidence, foster teamwork, and inspire young performers through quality music instruction and theater education.
Through our programs, students develop vital social skills and self-esteem that extend far beyond the stage. By performing for our community, we create a lasting positive impact, bringing people together through the universal language of song and performance excellence.

The mission of the chorus is to provide the children of Hocking County a culturally diverse musical experience, and an opportunity to explore and develop their own talents in music, performance, and theater.
